A farmer from Rajasthan committed suicide during AAP rally at Delhi. The rally was to protest against the Land Acquisition Amendment bill.
The news reports asy that when the man was shoting slogens and climbing the tree there were some people egging him on. When he threatened to committee suicide also nothing much was done to discourage him. Giving fiery speeches is ok but reining in excited people also is responsibility of the speakers in a rally. News reports also say after the farmer hanged himself the AAP leaders kept giving their speeches lamanting that see the farmers are committting suicide like thiss man has done.
If New channels are to be believed, it was tragic incidence. But there are grounds for suspection that like other dramas that this party does, it was also a drama with a different script which went horribly wrong when the poor farmer may have lost his balance and got hanged. Very difficult to say exactly what happened.
Irrespective of what lead to this tragic death the looser was the farmer and even bigger looser are his family. As for politicians, they are busy scoring their browny points, the tragic incidence has become an opportunity. Someones loss is others gain.
Rather than being the real well wishers of farmers who have suffered badly due to unseasonal rains, they all are busy turning the rosary of Farmers name for their individual political design. We have reached a sad state.
I only hope that they(farmers) hold on as every ones luck does change and when it is in dumps, it changes mostly for better. My heart weeps for those who have lost a lot and even more for those who have lost a lot and lost the hope too. Hold on Our 'Annadatas', this shall also pass.
